LAKE PLACID, NY (July 7, 2026) – USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) is excited to announce the continuation of our partnership with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Through this collaboration, we will continue to grow our efforts to create more opportunities for athlete recruitment through talent identification.

The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education. The NSCA offers five peer-reviewed journals, educational courses, clinics and conferences, and world-class certifications for strength and conditioning, personal training, and tactical professionals.

"The NSCA is proud to continue our partnership with USA Bobsled & Skeleton. Strength and conditioning coaches are uniquely positioned to identify athletes with the physical qualities needed to excel in Olympic sport. Through this collaboration, we are expanding opportunities for coaches to play a meaningful role in athlete development and talent identification, helping USA Bobsled & Skeleton discover the next generation of Team USA athletes,” shared Michael Massik, Executive Director of NSCA.

"Through the NSCA and its network of strength coaches, we have the platform to reach thousands of coaches who can, in turn, educate and encourage their athletes to try bobsled and skeleton. It allows us to 'recruit recruiters' who can bring in athletes with speed and power from a variety of other sports. We are also grateful for the opportunity to reach and educate coaches who train athletes in sports that require speed and power through periodic webinars. We're excited that this partnership will directly lead to the athletes who will complete our roster for the 2030 and 2034 Games,” shared Curt Tomasevicz, Director of Sport Performance, USA Bobsled & Skeleton.
