Personal

Enjoys playing golf...Hardcore fantasy football owner...Knows Kung-Fu...Introduced to the sport of bobsled by a former UCLA teammate and javelin thrower, Andreas Drbal, who has also been on the National Bobsled Team...His head coach at UCLA, Mike Maynard, encouraged him to tryout for the team as well. Maynard coached National Team members, Nick Cunningham and Nic Taylor, while they were running track at Boise State....Has a Bachelor's of Art degree in history from UCLA....At UCLA, Carlo played wide receiver for the football team for a year, until he joined the track and field team as a decathlete, then as a javelin thrower....Recently named as an Athlete Mentor for Classroom Champions, a non-profit organization partnering Olympic and Paralympic athletes with students and teachers in underserved communities. Currently working with students in the San Francisco Bay Area.
