Olympic Bobsledding Races Conclude
by Abby Slenker
CORTINA, ITALY (February 22, 2026) - Olympic 4-Man Bobsled racing wrapped up today with the final two heats of competition. This officially marks the conclusion of bobsled racing for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
Representing Team USA, Team Horn, comprised of pilot Kris Horn and push athletes Carsten Vissering, Hunter Powell and Caleb Furnell, placed 11th with a combined four-run time of 3.39.94, 2.37 behind the leader’s pace.
“It was an experience,” Horn shared about his first Olympic Games as a pilot. “It was a very stressful season, a lot of ups, and a lot more downs, but overall, I thought I did pretty good - a little frustrated because I know I understand this track better than reflected in my performance, but that will just be fire going into the next Olympics.”
Also representing Team USA, Team Del Duca, made up of pilot Frank Del Duca and push athletes Boone Niederhofer, Josh Williamson and Bryan Sosoo, placed 12th with a combined four-run time of 3:40.06, 2.49 behind the leader’s pace.
“There’s a lot of strong teams out there, a lot of strong crews, drivers, federations, all that, but I really believe in this team, I’ve always believed in this team. I believed in us ten years ago when we were fighting for second runs, and I believe in us now when we’re fighting for medals - it’s never changed,” shared Del Duca about his team’s performance and his goals looking ahead.
Full race results can be viewed here.
Now, the team will get a much-deserved break from racing as the off-season begins.
