Armbruster Humphries Wins Monobob Gold
by Abby Slenker
ALTENBERG, GERMANY (January 17, 2026) - Kaillie Armbruster Humphries slid to her first World Cup Monobob win since February 2023 today:
-1st place: Kaillie Armbruster Humphries - 2-run time of 1:58.97
-9th place: Elana Meyers Taylor - 2-run time of 2:00.06
-17th place: Kaysha Love - 2-run time of 2:00.96
“I’m really happy with today,” shared Armbruster Humphries about her win today. “My drives were good, and we’re still working on getting my pushes faster at the start. I think that’s just coming back post-partum, taking it step by step. The goal was always to build each and every race throughout this year up until the Olympics, and I think we’ve been pretty successful at that, so to be able to win at Monobob again is a really good feeling. We still have a lot of work to do, but overall, it continues to be steps in the right direction, which is great. I think this makes me the oldest World Cup winner in Monobob to date, and the oldest Women’s World Cup bobsled winner as a whole, a title I got last week [after winning] in 2-Woman,” She also added, “Age is just a number; it does not define us or limit us in anything”.
In 2-Man Bobsled, Frank Del Duca and Boone Niederhofer secured another top 6 finish for Team USA:
-6th place: Frank Del Duca and Boone Niederhofer - 2-run time of 1:51.32
-19th place: Kris Horn and Hunter Powell - 2-run time of 1:52.84
The final day of World Cup racing for the 2025/2026 season takes place tomorrow, January 18th, with 2-Woman and 4-Man Bobsled.
USA Bobsled/Skeleton will make its official Olympic Team announcement on January 19th.
