Mitch Danbe played soccer, basketball, flag football and competed in wrestling before trying the sport of bobsled in 2009. Danbe holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Riverside.

Danbe has a twin brother and an older sister. He enjoys rafting, mountain biking and riding motorcyles in his spare time and will eat anything with avocados.
