    Mitchell Jones is a youth skeleton athlete, who was selected as a member of Team USA for the 2016 Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway. Jones was born on Tuesday, April 20, 1999 in Saranac Lake, N.Y. he attends Saranac Lake Central High School, where he also participates in track and field, as well as recreational downhill and cross-country skiing. He was first introduced to the sport of skeleton through his uncle, who was a world-class skeleton athlete. He joined the Lake Placid junior bobsled program last season, but remembers watching the skeleton sliders and wanted to try the sport. 


    FUN FACTS

    - He loves roller coasters.

    - He has been to two Boy Scouts of America high-adventure camps (The Summit in West Virginia and Florida Sea Base).

    - He enjoys mathematics, engineering and robotics.
