    Theron Johnson made his bobsledding debut in the 2006-2007 season. Johnson started out on the World Cup circuit as a push athlete for both two-man and four-man. He served as a brakeman in the two-man for driver Mike Kohn in Calgary and for Grayson Fertig in Königssee. Johnson teamed up with driver Kohn in the four-man for six races on the World Cup circuit with a highest placement of ninth in Calgary. Johnson claimed the 2007 four-man U.S. National Championship title with driver Grayson Fertig to receive the Billy Fiske trophy.
