In Para Bobsled, the U.S. was again represented excellently by USABS’ incredible athletes. Will Castillo earned a podium finish for his combined run time of 4:54.69, earning him a 5th-place finish.

“I am blessed to be able to represent the U.S. in this sport. I could not do it without my coach and teammates.” Castillo shared about his excellent performance.

In other bobsledding news, Nicole Vogt and Jasmine Jones placed 12th in 2-Woman Bobsled with a combined time of 4:37.00. Riley Compton and Emily Renna came in 17th with a time of 4:39.68. In Para Bobsled, Bob Balk placed 9th with his finish of 4:54.96 and Austin Parker placed 16th with his time of 4:57.68. In 4-Man Bobsled, Geoffrey Gadbois, Carsten Vissering, Freddie Harris, and Paul Rabic placed 18th with their final time of 4:26.42. Team Frankie Del Duca was unfortunately unable to compete this weekend due to injury.

Although the World Championships may be over, the sliding season is far from finished. The IBSF World Cup will resume on February 11 in Innsbruck, Austria.
