Ro and Florian Win Silver in Norway

LILLEHAMMER, NORWAY (Dec 12, 2025) - Team USA competed in World Cup races for Men’s Skeleton, Women’s Skeleton and Skeleton Mixed Team today at the northernmost skeleton track in the world. In Skeleton Mixed Team,Mystique Ro and Austin Florian won silver, securing the first World Cup podium finish for USA Skeleton of the season.
In Skeleton Mixed Team, Team USA placed as follows:
2nd place - Mystique Ro and Austin Florian; combined time of 1:49.89
8th place - Sara Roderick and Nick Tucker; combined time of 1:50.61
“Pretty happy to finally get back on the podium again in the team event. I figured some things out with equipment and sliding during this race and I’m happy to bring some momentum into the coming weeks,” shared Florain about his silver-medal finish alongside Ro. At the 2025 World Championships earlier this year, the pair became World Champions in the Skeleton Mixed Team event, which will make its Olympic debut at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games.
In Women’s Skeleton, Team USA placed as follows:
7th place - Mystique Ro; 2-run time of 1:44.94
11th place - Kelly Curtis; 2-run time of 1:45.17
27th place - Kendall Wesenberg; 1-run time of 53.16s
29th place - Sara Roderick; 1-run time of 53.41s
In Men’s Skeleton, Team USA placed as follows:
15th place - Austin Florian; 2-run time of 1:43.44
24th place - Dan Barefoot; 2-run time of 1:43.74
27th place - Nick Tucker; 1-run time of 52.10s
The next World Cup Skeleton races are scheduled for December 18 and 19th in Sigulda, Latvia. Following a cancellation of Skeleton World Cup events at the second World Cup tour stop in Innsbruck, Austria, there will be two days of Skeleton racing held at the Sigulda tour stop instead of one.
Europe Cup (EC) Results:
Earlier this week, Team USA athletes competing on the Europe Cup (EC) circuit began their stop at the Altenberg, Germany track. Athletes representing the USA competed in Men's and Women’s Skeleton, along with Women’s Monobob.
In EC Women’s Monobob Race 1, Team USA placed as follows:
5th place - Lauren Brzozowski; 2-run time of 2:00.27
In EC Women’s Monobob Race 2, Team USA placed as follows:
4th place - Lauren Brzozowski; 2-run time of 1:59.82
In EC Men’s Skeleton Race 1, Team USA placed as follows:
17th place - Hunter Williams; 2-run time of 1:55.05
18th place - Andy Whittier; 2-run time of 1:55.36
26th place - Bradley Nicol; 1-run time of 58.76s
29th place - Darryl Payne Jr; 1-run time of 59.09s
In EC Men’s Skeleton Race 2, Team USA placed as follows:
17th place - Andy Whittier; 2-run time of 1:54.41
18th place - Hunter Williams; 2-run time of 1:54.42
23rd place - Bradley Nicol; 2-run time of 1:55.34
26th place - Darryl Payne Jr; 1-run time of 57.79s
In EC Women’s Skeleton Race 1, Team USA placed as follows:
17th place - Michelle Toukan; 2-run time of 1:59.08
25th place - Sha’Londa Terry; 2-run time of 2:01.46
In EC Women’s Skeleton Race 2, Team USA placed as follows:
13th place - Michelle Toukan; 2-run time of 1:57.43
24th place - Sha’Londa Terry; 2-run time of 2:00.72
