Bob Balk wins First Para Bobsled Race of the Season

LILLEHAMMER, NORWAY (January 10, 2026) - The Para Sport World Cup began its tour stop in Norway today with the first of two Para Bobsled races. Bob Balk slid to a 1st place finish for Team USA:
-1st place - Bob Balk; 2-run time of 1:52.79
-8th place - Will Castillo; 2-run time of 1:53.42
-10th place - Austin Parker; 2-run time of 1:53.47
-11th place - Doc Jacobs; 2-run time of 1:53.76
-13th place - Tyler Jeffries; 2-run time of 1:54.18
-15th place - Gabi Cha; 2-run time of 1:55.44
The Para Sport World Cup will continue in Lillehammer tomorrow, January 11th.

In St. Moritz, Switzerland, the bobsledding portion of this weekend’s World Cup races kicked off today with Women’s Monobob and 2-Man Bobsled.
In Women’s Monobob, Team USA placed as follows:
-4th place - Kaillie Armbruster Humphries; 2-run time of 2:23.99
-9th place - Elana Meyers Taylor; 2-run time of 2:24.46
-14th place - Kaysha Love; 2-run time of 2:24.60
In 2-Man Bobsled, Frank Del Duca and Josh Williamson placed 7th with 2-run time of 2:13.81.
After experiencing a crash in Heat 1, and not reaching the finish line in the sled, Kris Horn and Carsten Vissering unfortunately were not able to complete the race today.
World Cup races will continue in St. Moritz tomorrow, January 11th with 2-Woman Bobsled and 4-Man Bobsled.

In Innsbruck, Austria, the Europe Cup (EC) racing circuit continued today with the second EC race at the track for both Men’s and Women’s Skeleton.
Women’s Skeleton
-4th place - Michelle Toukan; 2-run time of 1:50.35
-22nd place - Sha’Londa Terry; 2-run time of 1:52.08
Men’s Skeleton
-22nd place - Bradley Nicol; 2-run time of 1:49.39
-25th place - Darryl Payne Jr; 2-run time of 1:50.13
EC racing will continue in Innsbruck with bobsled events beginning January 14th.
