TEAM USA STANDS STRONG IN THE FIRST IBSF WORLD CUP EVENT OF THE SEASON

WHISTLER, BRITISH COLUMBIA: (November 26, 2022) - At the IBSF World Cup in Whistler, Team USA ensured that their World Cup debut of the season was a memorable one. On November 24th, the competition began with a monumental 2nd place finish for Hallie Clarke in Women’s Skeleton with a time of 1:47.58. Teammates Kelly Curtis and Kendall Wesenberg placed 11th and 15th, with 1:48.68 and 1:49.60 finishes respectively. Also on the 14th, Austin Florian placed 9th with a 1:47.28 finish and Andrew Blaser ranked 14th with a 1:48.39 finish in Men’s Skeleton.
“It was a thrill being in my first World Cup race. Being on a track I know well and having support from our entire team was very motivating. It is a memory I will carry for a long time” said Clarke as she described her debut experience.
Moving on to the 25th, Kaillie Humphries earned a 3rd-place finish with her time of 1:51.18 in Women’s Monobob. Nicole Vogt placed 6th with a time of 1:52.49 and Riley Compton placed 8th with a 1:53.99 time. In 2-Man Bobsled, Frankie Del Duca competed with Hakeem Abdul-Saboor in the 1st heat and Manteo Mitchell in the 2nd heat earning a 10th-place finish for their combined run time of 1:46.87.
On the 26th, Humphries and Emily Renna earned a 3rd-place title for their 1:46.34 finish in 2-Women Bobsled. Vogt and Jasmine Jones placed 7th with a time of 1:47.26. Unfortunately, Compton and Macy Tarlton were disqualified after a crash on the first run. In 4-Man Bobsled, Del Duca, Mitchell, Abdul-Saboor, and Adrian Adams placed 8th with a 1:42.93 finish.
The IBSF World Cup will resume on December 1st in Park City, UT.
