Lund is the youngest of four children and greatly admires his parents.  When he was 15, he made a promise to his mother, who passed away after a two- year battle with skin cancer, to always follow his dreams.  He followed and achieved his first dream of winning the overall World Cup title in 2007 and is eagerly pursuing his Olympic dream.  Lund is enrolled at Westminster College in Utah with a major in aviation.  He hopes to fly forest-fire sludge bombers when he retires from sliding.
