Bob Balk Wins Para Sport World Cup Race and Secures Overall Title

SIGULDA, LATVIA (January 23, 2026) - The final Para Sport World Cup race in Sigulda took place today, with Bob Balk winning gold. With this win, Balk also secured the title of Para Sport World Cup Overall Winner.
Team USA athletes placed as follows in today’s Para Bobsled race:
-1st place: Bob Balk; 2-run time of 1:28.06
-6th place: Austin Parker; 2-run time of 1:28.81
-7th place: Will Castillo; 2-run time of 1:29.01
-8th place: Tyler Jeffries; 2-run time of 1:29.14
-9th place: Doc Jacobs; 2-run time of 1:29.36
-11th place: Gabi Cha; 2-run time of 1:29.61
Para Sport World Championships will be held in St. Moritz, Switzerland on January 31 and February 1, 2026.
